ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Þ Writes and speaks in standard             English

Þ Tells the difference        between complete and  incomplete sentences and uses correct word order in sentences

Þ Understands the correct use of quotation marks, periods, commas, question marks and exclamation marks

Þ Capitalizes properly

Þ Spells the first 100        frequently used words

Þ Spells irregular words (example: who, what, why)

LISTENING & SPEAKING

Þ Listens and responds to the words of others

Þ Speaks audibly and distinctly

      and/or summarizes it
